BigFace:Hi, NIJ Level IIIA body armor is designed to stop: 9mm FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) bullets: Traveling at velocities up to 1,400 feet per second. .44 Magnum SJHP (Semi-Jacketed Hollow Point) bullets: Traveling at velocities up to 1,400 feet per second. It is also capable of stopping lesser threats such as: .380 ACP .40 S&W .45 ACP However, it is not rated to stop rifle rounds, which require higher-level protection such as NIJ Level III or IV.
